I disagree that Satan's proposal meets the demands of justice (*). Be careful of intrigue with known evil.

Also, absolutely Satan has awareness of eternal laws. He was one of some power prior to the fall and was still being allowed access to the councils of heaven for some time afterward. (see Job)

I guess I see the definition of justice and the law of justice as not exactly the same. I always considered the law of justice to mean that if you do the crime, you'll do the time. The sin has to be paid for, either we pay for it through our own pain and suffering (in this life or the next) or we repent and rely on the mercy of Christ so that He suffers for it on our behalf.

Satan's plan as brought out by Nephi, eat drink and be merry...god will beat us with a few stripes...then everything is ok shows that he understands that the demands of justice must be met.

Satan's plan to save everyone by forcing us all to be perfect also shows he understands, for justice would be satisfied, since there would be no sin, then no suffering is needed to pay for the sin.

Just my thoughts.
