<description>How many Creation stories do we need anyway? We already have 4!8p It's all symbolic anyway.
As for the rest of the sealed portion, who knows. Could be prophesy on the last days or before/during/after the milleneum that won't be helpful to us until then or something.
Honestly, I'm more excited about gatting the Lost Ten Tribes' record. That's going to give us a whole new history to learn and gain from!

Actually, the folklore is that 2/3 of the book were sealed.

Acutally, the folklore is based on George Q. Cannon who said 1/3 was sealed and Orson Pratt who said 2/3 was sealed. Neither one of them saw the plates. J.S., the 3 witnesses, and the 8 witnesses, all who saw the plates never gave any indication how much was sealed.

No one associated with the plates ever said anything about how the plates were sealed. The idea that there was a nice little band around them is more Mormon folklore.

From Moroni's description and instructions to J.S. it appears the sealing was spiritual, not physical.

Mormon folklore...isn't it great!?
