<description>Cain because he received a body gets to rule over Satan in the end.

I know that this is a popular sentiment, but do we really believe this?

Joseph Smith said: " all beings who have bodies have power over those who have not" Tof PSJ pg181. Also McConkie Said "...Cain acted for and on behalf of Lucifer. Indeed, this first murderer of all murderers is himself Perdition - he was so designated in preexistence - and he will rule over Satan himself when the devil and his angels are cast out everlastingly"

So I beleive it!

I don't understand why Cain would do such a thing. If he is Perdition himself, then why did he come to earth just to kill one guy?

Being the first person to kill someone is pretty cool and all, I guess. But I would think that if I were Perdition and set out from the preexistence to do the will of Satan, I would want to wreck a whole lot more havok. I would want to be Hitler or someone. I would want to nuke the Church office building or something. Killing one dude seems like a pretty weak entry for he who is to rule over Satan.

Well, I'm guessing that it's not exactly a desired position to hold, it's not as though he'll receive any benefits for ruling hell.

All I know is that BigFoot is Cain and he lives near Seattle. Either that or in the Vatican and the Pope receives all his instruction on how to run the Catholic church from him.

I believe that Cain's significance in the gospel's teachings is not meant to focus us only on the man Cain himself, but he represents what we can become if we follow Satan. He is the father of secret combinations (Moses 5). Yes, all those who have bodies will be rule over Satan, and that includes the righteous. So, he'll bruise a heel or two, but guess who's head is gonna get crushed?
