Blogging tends to be the activity of people who think they have something important and profound to say. After we reach a certain level of maturity, we all realize we're idiots and know very little. At that point, blogging begins to seem like such a presumptious thing to engage in.

So, congratulate yourself. It's a good thing.

I love blogs and blogging… I have nearly 600 subscriptions in my newsreader, and spend a little time each day skimming the new stuff and actually reading the good stuff.

I love the new layer that blogging adds to my own ecosystem: family, friends, ward, neighbors, people of note, and now blogs of note and blog buddies. No complaints.

As for my dearth of posting (anywhere), this holiday season, I was visited by two nasty respiratory infections and a back spasm... and when I finally recovered, I hopped a plane to Tokyo for a week of business meetings punctuated by amazing food.

And now I'm back.

What's your secret Don? I've been trying to get this blogging monkey of my back for a few years now.

Blogging is just a way of talking to people. Talking to people never gets old. We just do it through different mediums over time.

Exactly the reason I want to quit. Can you imagine talking on the phone with friends as many hours as you blog? Have - to - stop....

Everybody gets burned out on blogging once in a while. It's natural, but the feeling passes.

Nope. I sincerely blame Council of Fifty. And the election.

There's always something to blog about. Even if it's re-hashed stuff. Things in life usually go in cycles anyway, so I see nothing wrong with bringing up old subjects that will now have new twists on them because of life experience. So, blog, Nine Moons, Blog!
