I think it's odd that so many members that are overweight continue to rail against the evil beverages while dutifully ignoring the rest of the WoW: eating right and exercising.

Technically, it's just as bad, if not worse, since drinking hard will kill your liver, but red meat and no exercise will kill your heart. Personally, I think it would be better to be in great shape, get outside, exercise and have a beer afterwards.

Brett -- It looks to me they can ship the Ariel to all 50 states, which presumably includes Oklahoma. It's only the alcoholic stuff they can't ship to certain states.

Unfortunately, it looks like the 'Mormon wine' won't be heading out to Utah any time soon. They better hurry before some extremist Mormon gives a fireside on 'Avoiding the appearance of evil' and petitions to ban it!

I'm tempted to get the Teachers in my ward to use Sangria Senorial for the sacrament. Not tempted enough to do it though, just to think about it. Boy do I love me some Sangria Senorial...

In England you have a lot more choice when it comes to more sophisticated soft drinks. I went to a wedding this weekend where we were served buckets of Shloer, and elderflower presse (my favorite) there is also a sparkling apple juice that can be found in almost any pub if you find yourself there or Ame, another brand with a variety of flavors.

It should be distributed nationwide within a year. They aren't marketing it to delis and grocery stores though. It's mostly going to be sold in high-end restaurants as a replacement for wine. It's a "cullinary" soda to be paired with food.

I think it's brilliant and am excited to try it.

Too bad they don't have it in Missouri. I wouldn't mind trying it if I didn't have to go on a road trip to taste it, or pay to have it shipped here to find I don't like it. It sounds good, though!
