Matt,

It’s obvious we can eat after we are resurrected. Christ was always eating after his resurrection. In fact I think all but a couple of times when he appeared he ate!

What will be eat, I don’t know but I bet it will taste great. And waste products…maybe our bodies will be more effective at digestion and there won’t be any waste.

Seriously, I was just thinking along similar lines.

We teach that our spirits are like our bodies. Do they have digestive systems, excratory systems, eyes? Do they eat spirit food?

What about intelligences?

Will we be able to eat when we are resurrected along with everything else? What will we eat since everything else will be resurrected too? Where will what we eat go if we do eat?

Wow. That is really intense. So, this guy must live in that room… My great-aunt swore there was a spirit who dwelled in her bedroom, and so she would never sleep in there. She put a small bed in her “TV room” and slept in there for years. And this is way before she went senile! :-)

Yeah, you’d think they’d be smarter than that, huh. But the one I encountered actually tried to pretend he was Christ. Not too bright. (I didn’t see him, though, just heard him, when I was half-asleep. I would’ve just dismissed it as a dream except for later I learned a couple other family members had encounters with it in the same room, and none of us knew of the others’ experiences until afterwards.)

No, you don’t sound like a loony!

I guess what I’m asking is, if you were an evil spirit and impersonating an angel, when one of us asks you to shake hands, why do you reach out? Why not say, “oh, I can’t!” I assume they have knowledge and access to all the information that we have (including the scriptures). I thought they only thing couldn’t do was read our thoughts.

Just curious.

JS didn’t say they’d offer. He said to ask them to shake hands with you, because they wouldn’t be able to. Although they’d try.

They do try to fool you. But in my experience, they’re full of lies and hate and easy to expose.

If you ever come close to dying, and are in a coma in the ICU for a day or two, in and out of consciousness, you might be able to sense/feel spirits standing near you. Just as you would a normal person. Except that they would have to be standing where the bed is. And sometimes you might get a glimpse of what they look like, before opening your eyes to see who is standing there, and realizing there’s no one there.
