Whenever we move into a new ward, it only takes a couple of weeks for people to know who my husband is. “Oh, he’s the one with the interesting comments” is a very common thing for me to hear. He always speaks up in Sunday School and Priesthood, and his comments are seldom the common and expected ones. He’s riled up a few classes and added very interesting insights to others. I personally find it amusing that when he makes a comment, everyone perks up to hear what he has to say. Rarely is it boring.

Our second daughter is well known too. She’s only 2 ½ but she talks like a 4 year old, and she charms everyone she meets. Her nursery leaders positively croon over her whenever we see them. Just wait ‘till she reaches primary!

Oh, Susan, that's sweet. I really hope one day my children will illicit such responses from people.

I have 5 children, all boys but 4. My (one) son is a lot like yours, I think. We moved to a new state when he was a sophomore in high school (a bad time to move a kid!) and soon people would say - 'oh , Sister so and so, are you related to John so and so?' And I'd proudly say, 'yes, that's my son!' He's not a loud person, but a friendly one, and it was great to hear from people who had already met him, and were anxious to tell me some good or funny thing about their encounters with him. He is home from his mission now, and does actually prepare talks now! (he used to 'wing' his, too, and we never knew what would come out of his mouth. A good son! what a treasure!

Susan, my boys are the same way- only younger. Everyone knows them by their hair, too. Oh, yeah, you have the redheads! I get a lot.

I love his natural bravery at wanting to wing-it.
