So I went to the two Salt Lake City newspaper sites for details, but they were quite slow. I then spent about an hour listening to the streaming version of KSL-AM, which had (not surprisingly) quite good coverage and no overload problems. My wife, who was upstairs, found out a few seconds before I did via a phone call from someone in the ward. I was catching up on the political news on CNNPolitics.com about 8:30 p.m. MST Sunday, and they had a screaming red “breaking news” banner saying he had died. I read it about 2 hours after she sent it -- Monday morning here. She's so efficient in getting news out that there are several ward members convinced that at the 2nd coming, we will first hear the news from her in an email to the ward. Haven't heard anything about it on CNN or any news here -- thank heavens for the internet! I’m living in Africa but learned about it from my (former) Houston ward email person who sent an email to those on the ward list about 8:30 PM Utah time. She’s so efficient in getting news out that there are several ward members convinced that at the 2nd coming, we will first hear the news from her in an email to the ward.
