For some reason, ever since the "last" Star Wars movie came out three years ago, I can't look at MB without thinking of Senator/Chancellor/Emperor Palpatine. (The voice, smirk, robes, and all that, don't you know.)

ARJ, thanks for the link. A friend of mine once told me that he heard a recording of lesser known John Williams score excerpts and that one sound like a plagiarized version of Bestor's temple music (which is surprisingly not bad). He'll be thrilled for the confirmation.

I heard these guys get pulled over by the cops in Utah all the time. See, police see a lot of mug shots of suspects on the run, and they all get kinda mushed together in this mental file full of faces they sort of remember from somewhere, all labeled "Bad." : )

My SIL lived in a ward in Manhattan with Adam and Eve (the brunette ones, and somewhat aged) for a while. That would have been an interesting experience for every new move-in to the ward.

Tracy, at the Provo Temple, at least, it depends on which Endowment Room you go in for your session. Odd-numbered rooms get one film, even-numbered rooms the other.

I prefer the Lucifer on the Left because he seems much more subtle (<a href="http://scriptures.lds.org/en/gen/3/1#1" rel="nofollow">subtil</a>?) and less dramatic and theatrical than the other one.

<blockquote>While I’m at it, this is a relevant video on YouTube. The interesting part starts at about 1:30.</blockquote>

Like how a P-51D flies through a time warp back to 1941?

During much of my mission I was in the mission office. For a while I was serving with occasional bloggernacle commenter Carl Youngblood. He had a cassette tape that featured Michael Ballam on the cover. It was often sitting on his desk next to the computer. When the mission president would come in to use the computer the first thing he would do is flip the tape over so that Michael Ballam was no longer visible. We thought this was hilarious and finally teased him about it one day. He said that the picture made him uncomfortable. We asked him why and he said that he had no idea, but that he didn't like that picture looking at him. Once it was explained he realized why he had been flipping it over and it he didn't do it anymore.
