Agreed, you can always listen to conference on the radio while driving on a trip or while doing other activities. That wouldn't work for Priesthod but it would for the Saturday sessions at least.

Our conference tradition is to go on vacation or at least a day trip. If they didn't want us to have access to our leaders' teachings outside of conference, then they wouldn't print the talks in the Ensign and on the Internet, would they?

Seriously, I'm a good reader and a bad listener. A couple of quality hours spent closely reading the conference Ensign is vastly more enriching for me than 10 hours fighting off sleep in an overheated chapel.

More and more, I'm feeling like cable is, in fact, a big waste of money. It is hard to get rid of once you have it, however.

when my husband was in the military, one of our on-base and pregnant acquaintances asked if we knew of a recipe for virgin jell-o shooters. she loved how they tasted, but alas! she was pregnant! :::sigh:::

our tradition sucks. we don't have tv, so we truck the family to the stake center for all of it. this weekend, we actually watched sunday on the computer (no internet, but we borrowed our neighbor's) and i feel like we missed out. i have no interest in getting cable (well, satellite, i guess, since cable here is no longer carrying conference) EXCEPT for byutv. seems like a waste of money, but i'd love to have the cozy family conference traditions that everyone else has. as it is, my kids will say their memories are of being starved all conference morning as toddlers and young children and being forced to eat their bagels and juice boxes quietly at the stake center. starvation is the key to good behavior when it comes to small children! ;)

Awesome, David T, but you need a better word. How about "faith?" That would really get the jello shots going!

We would do virgin jello shots every time we heard the word "Uchtdorf." Okay, not really. But it would be a great tradition.

My dad would offer up some kind of meaningless prize to whoever was the first kid to spot our neighbor seated with the choir. (She had a distinctive white curl amidst dyed black hair.) Rather silly, but it got us to watch.

In fact, looking back I realize that we were glued to the TV looking for a woman who wasn't there half the time: the MoTab doesn't even perform at every session!

When the kids were younger, we would have a big pancake breakfast (sometimes English breakfast) on conference Sundays - the only Sunday with plenty of time in the mornings.
