Bloggernacle Trading Cards (Updated)

Rusty - August 2, 2005

Today Dave was speculating on whether the Strengthening the Members Committee has a set of trading cards on the 50 most wanted Mormon bloggers. Well, after some research it appears that the SMC does have trading cards. These are the only ones I could get my hands on before they firewalled me.

Watch out folks, you could be next!

(Update: The old Steve Evans has been pulled and they are now issuing an updated version.)

  5. See, it pays to have the Bloggernacle snub your blog. The Church will never be on to me.

  6. Niiiiice! I liked Kaimi’s hair, Matt’s kids, and Rosalynde’s special note in the corner.

  8. Rusty, that was hilarious. Each of your little twists was so right on. This made me laugh really hard. I’m guessing the Blogscars will have a special recognition award to hand out at the end of the year for this. :)

  9. When I click on the link it’s super small and blurry and hard to read. Any tips?

  10. Click on the image and it should get bigger, if you’re using Firefox.

I think IE when you mouse over the image will display a square block in the bottom right corner of the image, click on that and it’ll get bigger.

Those are awesome, Rusty. “I’m awesome!” hahaha

  11. Sweeeet! And don’t worry, Rusty, I’m totally secure enough not to worry at all now that people think I’m a pompous blowhard… Really, it hasn’t crossed my mind. :)

  12. Why am I upside down??

    Comment by Steve Evans — August 2, 2005 @ 3:50 pm

  13. I was wondering the same thing, Steve. Not about the picture, though.

  14. Rosalynde,
    You’re a good sport :)

    Steve,
Hmmm, you must be an error card. I’d check back later tonight though, apparently it will be fixed.

  15. Rusty, did you have to photoshop those man-breasts onto Davis?

    Comment by Steve Evans — August 2, 2005 @ 4:24 pm

  16. Lol, Steve. Mean, but funny.

Rusty, while you did use an actual picture of Steve, you should probably explain to your readers that he is not, in fact, an 11 year-old boy.

  19. Lol, Steve. Mean, but funny.

Rusty, while you did use an actual picture of Steve, many of your readers won’t know this, and you should probably explain to your readers that he is not, in fact, an 11 year-old boy.

  20. BTW, do they have stats on the back of them? Number of posts, snark %, etc.

  23. Rusty,

You should have Steve’s as an animated GIF that switches where he blogs.

  28. Rusty,
So, do you actually do any WORK during the day there in Soho?
Happy belated b-day, by the way!!:) Oh and yes, I like my car.

  29. Seriously, Rusty, consider doing a full set of these. It would take some time, but it would probably make money. Especially if you use this set as the teaser and don’t release the rest for online viewing until people pay up. I’d pay to see the rest.

    Comment by Ryan Bell — August 3, 2005 @ 4:10 pm

  30. Rusty,

This is the funniest thing to ever appear in the bloggernacle. Make the entire set and sell thousands–this is kitsch at its finest.

  31. That was funny.

  32. I’d forgotten what the cards looked like and discovered that the domain has expired.

Any chance of a reissue? I should have saved a copy then.
