Jesus Art

Rusty - September 15, 2004

I came across this website and couldn’t tell if I was supposed to be laughing or feeling the Spirit. I especially like the juggler. I can’t help to think that these are early sketches of Greg Olsen paintings.

  1. It’s a lot more ha, ha, ha than spiritual to me.

Yeah, it’s pretty funny. But seriously, I don’t think the artist meant for it to be… I think he has a neat story behind the drawings and I admire his dedication to a field he had no experience in whatsoever before this project!

I like the Dental Assistant. But I feel bad for laughing because the artist does have a neat story and is obviously sincere.

Reminds me of when I visted the formerly RLDS temple and visitor center. Their gift shop had postacrds of Jesus playing soccer and volleyball with children. I should have bought one.

Oh David, that would have been priceless. A great collection would be all the funny Jesus images out there (MANY Greg Olsen paintings fall in this category).

Rusty, you probably just offended a bunch of people, but I wholeheartedly agree with you.

I’m sure the artist isn’t trying to be funny, he’s sincere, but it is funny…funny like infant baptism.

Okay, Rusty, let’s hear it already. Where’s your Greg Olsen post? …
