Just thought you’d like to know.

  1. No fair. I was in the process of writing my post when you posted this. Now you have to add “. . . except Tom” to your title.

    Comment by Tom — September 5, 2007 @ 8:55 am

  2. Whatever Rusty is paying you guys to put up with this crap, ask for a raise.

    Comment by Matt W. — September 5, 2007 @ 9:08 am

  3. I’ve been there.

    Comment by Steve Evans — September 5, 2007 @ 9:09 am

  4. Some gentle prodding via email might be more effective.

    OK, probably not.

(How many posts about my kids do you want to read?)

    Comment by Susan M — September 5, 2007 @ 9:13 am

  5. Time to make a trade. I wonder if BCC would give you a couple of prolific permas like Norbert (young prospect) and Tracy M (utility player and good clubhouse presence) for Tim J (bad ankles but expiring contract), Don (bad contract but veteran leadership) and cash.

Or maybe the ‘nacle equivelant of the Yankees (T&S) would want to dump some of their veteran leadership with bad contracts (like Nate Oman or RAF) for some of your young talent (like Tom or Susan).

Or you could just call up some of your guest bloggers in the farm system. That seems to be working for FHM.

Let’s face it, 9M’s is just like the Mariners – lot’s of nice peices but the owner overpaid and is not getting his money’s worth of production. Of course Seth would just stop commenting on every other blog, his average would be much higher.

  6. doh! i meant FMH

  7. Tom,
Skin of your teeth is all I have to say. Skin of your teeth.

    Matt,
I already pay them too much.

    Steve,
I know, and I think I was on the other end of your wrath. That is why I have stayed my hand for now. Mercy is what the BoM calls it I think.

    Susan,
C’mon, we all know that empty threats are much more effective at inspiring people to action than gentle persuasion.

    CJ,
No jokes about the Mariners right now. Their losing streak is making me sick. Oh, and I like the Freudian slip with the FHM thing. Hilarious.

  8. I thought I was just a guest-blogger!

All right, I’m sure I can come up with a post on SSM. Gimme a minute or two.

    Comment by Tim J — September 5, 2007 @ 9:47 am

  9. But Tim – your name is on the roster!

    Comment by cj douglass — September 5, 2007 @ 9:48 am

  10. I think we’re all about to be dragged into the trash can of outer darkness.

    Comment by Susan M — September 5, 2007 @ 9:54 am

  11. Tim,
Only CJ and Lamonte have the distinguished honor of being permanent guest bloggers. You, my friend, are permanent.

    Comment by Rusty — September 5, 2007 @ 9:59 am

  12. Well then how do I get their job?

Kidding. I probably have 5 or 6 unfinished posts in the queue. I just need to polish them up and post them. You can expect Niblet-worthy material in about a week.

    Comment by Tim J — September 5, 2007 @ 10:23 am

  13. Polish? There’s an idea!

    Comment by Tom — September 5, 2007 @ 10:31 am

  14. You guys do realize you replaced Rusty’s own family for you to be here, right?

    Comment by Bret — September 5, 2007 @ 3:02 pm

  15. By the way, I’m joking Rusty, so don’t think anything of it>:)

In reality, I’m a teacher and don’t have enough time in front of a computer each day to keep up on writing/commenting blogs.

    Comment by Bret — September 5, 2007 @ 3:04 pm

  16. I wondered why there was so little going on over here this last week…

    Comment by Cheryl — September 5, 2007 @ 6:31 pm

  17. I agree Rusty. I suck.

    Comment by Seth R. — September 5, 2007 @ 7:39 pm

  18. Oh! oh! Will this be like when the MLB umpires went on strike and got canned only to be replaced by other similarly talented umps who were just waiting for their big break?

Consider this comment my formal application to replace those suckers.

    Comment by Ryan — September 5, 2007 @ 8:42 pm

  19. At least I’m not as bad as Davis Bell.

    Comment by Tim J. — September 5, 2007 @ 8:58 pm

  20. Heh-heh. You said “ass.” Heh.

    Comment by Chad Too — September 6, 2007 @ 11:20 am

  21. You guys get paid? What am I missing here?

    Comment by onelowerlight — September 7, 2007 @ 6:49 pm

  22. onelowerlight,
    The joke.

    Comment by Rusty — September 7, 2007 @ 7:23 pm
