Walk Into The Sea (Album) – Low
I can walk into the sea
And I can choke away the memories
Do I have to stay alive
Just to keep our dresses white?
You’ve come to me in dreams
With all the other pretty things
You tell me about a savior
And how his soul goes on forever
And time is just a hunger
It leads itself to nothing
When it finally takes us over
I hope we float away together
Yeah, time’s the great destroyer
Leaves every child a bastard
But when it finally takes us over
I hope we float away together

Next to Donny and Marie, Low are my favorite Mormon music artists. (Well, technically, they’re one of my favorite bands, period. But how many bands do you know that have songs about Joseph Smith?) David Archuleta would be number 3.

This is so cool Susan! Thanks. But isn’t “I Am The Lamb” about Christ?
This part:
“they’ll take my name
and feed my children
with my remains
in the holy temple”
makes me think of the sacrament.
Come on, put Brandon Flowers (of The Killers) above David Archuleta. He deserves at least third place.

Lovely.

Could be, MCQ. It’s probably both. I just always assumed Joseph Smith because he said “I am going like a lamb to the slaughter” and his last words were “I am a dead man.”

Thanks. I’m also a Low fan.

I see “I Am the Lamb” as being about both Joseph Smith and Jesus Christ. The first verse is Joseph talking, the second is Jesus.
I love this song and I love the pics, Susan.

I think I saw Low live in D.C. with the same British guy.

Low are fantastic live. I get tears in my eyes from the very opening song. Something about the harmonies I think.

Peter,
You didn’t just get to see Low in Vienna. It was much more than that.
Great pics, Susan.

So Ronan is the British guy? What are you, Ronan, a Low groupie?
